"Buddy Boy" (now renamed "Trae") had been hit by a car and left in the Memphis shelter to be euthanized.  We had his leg amputated, waited (and waited...and waited!!) for the perfect home, and he's living the good life in Maine  with his furbrother and a mom & dad who adore him!  Check this out:

Hi Judith,

Trae (formerly Buddy Boy) successfully completed his walk-a-thon for the animal shelter on Saturday.  In fact, Chance gave out before he did.  He really enjoyed the social time with all the other dogs.  People were amazed at how well he gets by without his leg!  Everyone wanted to know his story.  The shelter staff think he and Chance should have their own breed!  They all thought they looked so much alike.

I even had one woman tell me she and her husband had considered adopting a
three legged cat, and her husband didn't think it was a good idea.  Then
after seeing Trae complete the walk-a-thon, they decided it would be just
fine!  So, our little three-legged boy is an inspiration!

Nothing terribly unusual about Annabelle running with gust across a winter pond ~ until you realize she only has three legs!
Doesn't she look like a fox?

From a down home country girl, to a bella donna about town, BONNIE (right) is living quite the life in Milan, Italy (flown over special delivery by Judith). Tina has knit her an entire wardrobe of sweaters and cooks for her twice a day!  And people stop her on the street each day to find out where they can get a dog exactly like BONNIE!

"Easy," says Tina, "You just have to look in a kill shelter in Memphis, Tennesee!
Ciao Bonnie!

MIA was rescued from the streets of Boston....now treasured by her Daddy!

He writes, "Mia is such a doll.  The more comfortable she gets, the more we see her funny and sometimes insane personality.  Every night she does the poodle run where she riles up Jake and Murphy by leaping from couch to couch in our living room and jumps over every dog in her path.  After about 5 minutes she poops out.  It is hysterical.  I love her so much.  She also sleeps with me every night.  I don't even know she is there.  We are very close.  She follows me everywhere.  She has made my life  even happier.  And I have you to thank for it!"
