The Patch Chronicles

As you can see, I am having a wonderful happy life!

This is the best day of my life. It is the day I found true love with my mom, Jill. We are very happy together. I do lots of fun things...I visit many people, dress up for special occasions, and I also have many toys and wonderful sleeping spots. Oh, I am the happiest dog alive!
Thank you Canine Guardians!

Here I am in August...Enjoying the dog days of summer!
Mom says I'm quite a handsome model.
Sometimes I need to inspect the sticks in the yard. I want to be sure they are good for chewing.
Yes. It is me. Super Dog. By the way, its not a costume. Its a uniform!

Here's what mom writes to Judith:
Patch loves his accessories!!! He just laid in the yard and chewed his bone as Superdog. When the neighbors came home he pranced around the yard for them in his costume!

I get so tired being a super hero. Even handsome super-heros need some well deserved rest!
I really enjoy playing on the beach with my new toy.

Here's what mom writes to Judith:

"Patch is no longer a good ol' southern boy...he is now a beach boy from New England! He loves the beach more than anyplace...I can't thank you enough for being the link that brought us together. We are perfect for each other and my family loves him so much...he keeps us laughing all the time! Thanks again!"

We must be very careful with driftwood. Sometimes it drifts away.

Here I am...Ready to be Santa's helper. I am going to pass the presents to everyone. If there is a bone or chewie toy, I'll be sure to inspect it for freshness. Merry Christmas everyone!

Here's what mom writes:

Hi Judith,
Patch is the best dog ever. My mom thinks it is her childhood dog reborn! He is sooo sweet and independent. I refer to him as my roommate because he does his own thing! He sleeps under the covers and loves to hog the bed. We are a match that will go down in history. He is the best friend I have ever had. He comes to some nursing homes with me when I work, and he acts like such a ham for the patients. He is also the most dramatic dog you will ever meet. If you ask him to do something he doesn't want to do he lays on his side and acts like he is dead. I can't even pick him up because he goes limp. We have not had an indoor accident yet or any descructive behavior. He knew this is where he was supposed to be and lives it up everyday!
Again, Thank you so much for all the wonderful work you do for everyone! You are an inspiration!

Happy Holidays, Jill Belben and Patch

"I just wanted to send you a picture of Patch doing what he loves to do. We are at a nursing home in New Hampshire. He is entertaining a 92-yr-old resident who the nurses thought was afraid of dogs. Turns out he didn't want to give Patch back after playing with him for almost 2 hours! (and I think Patch would have stayed there if I let him.) — Jill"
